• Your driving licence

  A full licence valid in Great Britain, held for at least 1 year. You must be 21 or over, with no more than 6 penalty points. Bring the photocard, a DVLA check code from the last 21 days, proof of identity and proof of address from the last three months.

• Proof of insurance

  Comprehensive cover for the vehicle as a hired vehicle, for the whole rental, noting MEJE Ltd as an interested party. Bring the certificate and policy schedule. We do not provide motor insurance as part of a rental.

• The card you paid with

  The rental and the security deposit are paid by card at booking, and we check the card matches the booking at handover. The deposit is refunded within 14 working days of return.

• Any other named driver

  Only drivers named on the booking may drive. Each needs to be present with their own documents.

• A few minutes for the handover

  We complete a condition report with photographs before you drive away, and you sign a Statement of Liability for fines and road charges. Damage not recorded then is presumed to have happened during your rental, so it is worth the time.
